Aug. 15. The summer’s final Sundown Sounds will take to the water tonight with Gary Lowder & Smokin’ Hot. The North Myrtle Beach band will perform live on a barge off the shores of the beach at Ramsey Creek Park.
Concert goers are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the concert from the beach, or float over in their boats to enjoy the show from the water.
Concessions are available for purchase including GGC Smokehouse and Handel’s Ice Cream. Alcohol will sold on site but outside alcohol is not allowed.
Gary Lowder & Smokin’ Hot plays a mix of originals and cover songs from artists like Blood Sweat & Tears, Chicago, Earth Wind & Fire, Tavares, Tower of Power, and more.
Summer Sounds is a concert series that Mecklenburg County stages at various county parks over the summer. The Friday concerts have all been held at Ramsey Creekin partnership with Cornelius Parks & Recreation. The beach was closed last weekend due to elevated bacteria levels but reopened this week after further water quality tests.
