June 24. It may be five months late because of COVID, but the official changing of the guard at the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce takes place July 15 during a luncheon at NorthStone Country Club.

The chamber’s 2020 Chair Richard Pappas will officially hand over the reins to 2021 Chair Erika Erlenbach.

Until last year, the event was a black-tie optional evening gala held in January at The Peninsula Club.

Chamber officials call the new event a Summer Celebration of Distinction Luncheon. It runs from 11:45 am to 1:30 pm July 15, complete with awards, including the Robert T. Cashion Business Person of the Year as well as others. To nominate someone, click here.
