Celebrate poet Robert Burns’ birthday at Rural Hill

Jan. 3. Historic Rural Hill will again host a traditional Scottish Supper in honor of Robert Burns.

Space for this premier event on Jan. 29  is limited, and tickets must be purchased advance Tickets are $75 each.

A silent auction will be held throughout the evening and there will be a cash bar with beer, wine and Scotch whisky.

The Burns Supper is a fundraising dinner for Historic Rural Hill, a non-profit historic site, and the Loch Norman Highland Games. Tickets are non-refundable.

The event will feature a three-course dinner and one free pour of Scotch whisky for the toast to the  memory of Robert Burns. 

Doors will open at 6 pm and dinner service will begin after the ode to the haggis, around 7 pm. Toasts follow dinner.

The night will also feature live music from piper Phillip Diaz.

Don’t worry. The event is catered and Haggis Helper is not on the menu.

Burns Night Suppers are held around the world in celebration of poet Robert Burns’ birthday. The tradition started in July of 1801 when his friends met at his old home to celebrate the fifth year since his death.
