Invasive zebra mussels confirmed in Iredell

Sept. 25. The N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission (NCWRC) announced last week that zebra mussels, a harmful invasive aquatic species, have been identified in an Iredell County waterbody. This is the first time this species has been identified in the wild in North Carolina. The invasive species can disrupt water systems and cause negative ecological impacts.  […]
