Cornelius Police getting new vehicles

The Cornelius Town Board has approved an installment plan to finance $670,000 for eight new police vehicles for the Cornelius Police Dept. and one pick-up truck for the Cornelius/Lemley Fire Department. Power outage
June 19. Cornelius Police were monitoring intersections on the east side of Cornelius after a power outage hit residences, businesses, traffic lights along Catawba Avenue. Officers were assisting with traffic direction. Power was reported back on in some areas at 10:15 am.
Symphony, fireworks at Bailey this Saturday; fireworks at Trump, LKN Yacht Club
