Aug. 25. Appalachian State University alumni, friends and family will gather Thursday, Sept. 1, for a football watch party at Jack’s Corner Tap, 8301 Magnolia Estates Dr., Cornelius.

Alumni will root for the Mountaineers at the event, which starts at 7 p.m., as the team plays its season opener against Tennessee.
