GRANT

Almetta Elizabeth Grant, 69 of Huntersville went to be with the Lord July 14 at her home. She was born on September 24, 1945 in Mecklenburg County to the late Joseph and Gracie McSwain Cook.

Survivors include her son Tony Grant and fiancée Melanie Helderman of Charlotte; daughters Tammy Eppley and husband Brian of Huntersville and Shannon Howard of Cornelius; sister Brenda Davis of Georgia and grandchildren Dustin, Greg, Madi, Austin and Nathan. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband Curtis Grant, sisters Betty Jo Garmon and Olivia “Gail” Sigmon.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 Thursday, July 16 in the chapel of James Funeral Home with Rev. Leroy Grant officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
