North Meck mayors

So far, Commissioner Melinda Bales is the only person to file to run for mayor of Huntersville.

Likewise, in Cornelius and Davidson, incumbent mayors Woody Washam and Rusty Knox have filed, but none of the three faces an opponent as of 11 am today.

Filing closes July 16 at noon.

All three North Mecklenburg towns have non-partisan elections where candidates’ party affiliation is not listed on the ballot and the political parties generally don’t provide support for the candidates.
