CMS to host northern community session on budget
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools will hold a community engagement session tonight at North Academy of World Languages in Huntersville.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m. and will walk families and the public through CMS budget planning for the 2026–27 school year, including how funds are allocated, district revenue sources, and strategies that influence student success. Participants can speak with CMS finance and budget leaders and learn how budget decisions affect classrooms.
CMS will also offer a virtual session Friday, Feb. 27, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The session can be accessed online.
Kelly Kluttz, CMS chief financial officer, will lead the sessions.
