Oct. 3. Carrigan Farms transforms into Scarrigan Farms this weekend to the delight and terror of anyone 12 years and older.
“If you’re looking for intense Halloween horror, this is it,” said event organizers. “Whether your fear is spiders, snakes, tight spaces, complete darkness or demons, it makes no difference because if you have a phobia, they will find it. Be prepared to run, drop, slide, and squeeze while attempting to escape our forest freaks and wilderness psychos.”
Beginning Friday, Oct. 3 and running through Nov. 1, the 275-acre farm dubs itself the scariest haunted trail in the region. The walking trail is over one mile long through natural terrain, wooded and open areas. Children under the age of 12 are not allowed to attend.
Advanced reservations are required and organizers request visitors arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their reservation start time. Tickets cost between $30 and $50, depending on the day, and include a $5 food voucher. The VIP ticket costs $45 to $65 allows visitors to skip the line to enter the trail.
The Quarry Restaurant onsite is take-out only and serves a variety of fall favorites such as apple cider donuts, fresh pizza, french fries, roast-your-own S’mores kits and roast-your-own-hotdog kits.
