Cornelius losing finance director to Huntersville

March 17. Jackie Huffman, the long-time Town of Cornelius finance director, is leaving to become finance director for Huntersville. She has more than 20 years of local governmental finance experience. She’s run Cornelius finances since 2000, guiding the department to its AAA bond rating. The town has been awarded the Government Finance Officers Association’s Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for more than five years. A CPA, she began her career as the assistant finance director in Statesville. No word on a replacement.
