Rock the Park

6:30 pm | June 6. Known for their blend of roots reggae infused with R&B, jazz funk and soca, Crucial Fiya delivers performances that resonate with both traditional reggae enthusiasts and new listeners alike. Seating is first-come, first-served. Outside food and beverages are permitted with the exception of alcohol. Small coolers are allowed and subject to inspection. Food vendors on site. First Fridays

Ghost Hunt at the Hugh Torance House and Store

6:30-8:30 | June 7. An authentic ghost hunt led by the experienced experts at the Charlotte Area Paranormal Society (CAPS). Step back in time, to 1779, to scour each of the rooms of the home as well as our site grounds (weather permitting) for existential activity using professional investigative tools and equipment provided by CAPS (CharlotteAreaParanormal.org). HEARTS Junion ‘25:  Revolutionary Descent

Our fourth anniversary of Junion, featuring co-chair of HEARTS Reunion Project, SAR  (Son of the American Revolution) member Andre’ Kearns, a descendant of Charlotte Kerns who was enslaved at Cedar Grove. This year, Kearns will share his journey of discovering his Revolutionary War roots through Henry Johnston of Long Creek. Free community event; please register. Juneteenth Celebration Block Party

6-9 pm | June 19. This special event marks the kickoff of the 2025 LalaCaboosa Concert Series, and will feature live entertainment , along with guest speakers, local food trucks and family-friendly activities for children. Juneteenth, recognized as a day to celebrate African American freedom, heritage, and achievements, will be honored through a community gathering that emphasizes unity, culture and the spirit of summer. Bring blankets and lawn chairs. Parking for the event will be located at the following places: Town Center Parking Garage, S. Main St Parking lot, Arts & Cultural Center Parking lot, Holbrook Park, Downtown Greenway parking lot. Lost at the Lake concert series
