Main Street open after truck hit railroad bridge

Dec. 15. UPDATED. The Norfolk-Southern Railroad bridge over Main Street between Davidson and Cornelius is open for the Tuesday morning commute. It was hit by a roll-off container truck late Monday morning, according to the Cornelius Volunteer Fire Department.  Main Street was closed in both directions through the Monday evening commute, but it’s open now. There were no injuries reported, according to police.
