Feb. 2. Vice President Kamala Harris and US Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg are touring the Charlotte bus depot which has a new all-electric bus this morning. 
“It has that ‘new bus’ smell,” Harris said.

What is wrong with saying that?? People use the expression “it has that new car smell” all the time!! Please….give me a break with all the picayune and trival commentary regarding everything that this lady says or does!!
We thought it showed a good sense of humor and wanted to share.
OK my bad on that! I just found the article somewhat off-putting. Perhaps if you had mentioned somewhere in the article,, perhaps even the last sentence, something to the effect our Vice President is showing her sense of humor, then it would have made it much clearer to the reader where you were coming from. But let’s face it, she takes so many Negative hits for everything that she says and does from certain types in the Media, that it becomes very easy to conclude that the article is being condescending, especially if there is no reference to the fact that you were trying to illustrate her wittiness or sense of humor.
