Weekender June 19-22: Symphony in the Park, Juneteenth, Lost at the Lake and more music

Head Over Heels

See website for schedule. Davidson Community Players presents a wacky mash-up of a classic Renaissance adventure  and the iconic 80s music of The Go-Go’s. Recommended ages 13+.  Advance tickets $15-$40 plus tax and fees. Duke Family Performance Hall, Davidson College.

Thursday, June 19

Juneteenth

6-8 pm | June 19. Free celebration and family event includes simulated van tour of historic neighborhoods, performances, art activities. Vendors. Ada Jenkins Center, 212 Gamble St., Davidson.

Juneteenth Celebration Block Party

6-9 pm | June 19. This special event marks the kickoff of the 2025 LalaCaboosa Concert Series, and will feature live entertainment , along with guest speakers, local food trucks and family-friendly activities for children. Juneteenth, recognized as a day to celebrate African American freedom, heritage, and achievements, will be honored through a community gathering that emphasizes unity, culture and the spirit of summer. Bring blankets and lawn chairs. Parking for the event will be located at the following places: Town Center Parking Garage, S. Main St Parking lot, Arts & Cultural Center Parking lot, Holbrook Park, Downtown Greenway parking lot. Event admission, parking, and activities are free to the public.Veterans Park, downtown Huntersville.

LaLaCaboosa – Downtown Music Series

6-9 pm | June 19. Live entertainment by the band Envision. Grab your lawn chairs/blankets and enjoy an evening of live music. A food truck and beverage vendor will be onsite with food and drinks for purchase. Veterans Park at Main & Maxwell streets, downtown Huntersville.

Live Under the Oaks

Symphony in the Park & Fireworks

6-10 pm | June 21. An evening with the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra at the Bailey Road Park Bandshell. Patriotic, classical and pops performances are followed by a fireworks display (weather permitting). Parking and admission are free; concessions available. Bailey Road Park, 11536 Bailey Rd.

Lost at the Lake concert series

7:30 pm | June 21. The Cleverlys is a one-of-a-kind comedy and music experience. From the groups’ humble beginnings in the Ozark Mountains, to currently headlining festivals and performing arts centers all over the country, their show has earned them countless fans and buckets of laughs. All Ages. No outside food, beverages or pets allowed. $20 advance; $30 at the door. Rain or shine at Lost Worlds Brewing at 19700-D One Norman Blvd., Cornelius.

Boots in the Yard with Brooke Lee

6 pm | June 21.  Lake Norman native Brooke Lee returns home with her high energy show performing country hits and originals. Special guests  include Bourbon Sons and Diamond Dixie. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door. BoatYard Lake Norman, 18418 Statesville Road, Cornelius

Davidson Farmers Market

9 am – noon | every Saturday through Thanksgiving. Produce, flowers, meat and baked goods.Rain or shine. No pets. 120 S. Main St., Davidson, next to Town Hall between Main and Jackson streets.

Concerts @ the Circle:  Crucial Fiya – Reggae

7-9 pm | June 21. Acoustic artist will perform from 5 – 6:30 pm with the headline artists playing 7 -9 pm. Jetton Street near Clean Juice, 605 D, Jetton St., Davidson.

Sunday, June 22

Huntersville Pride

1-6 pm | June 22. The event will feature live entertainment, local vendors, food trucks, community resources and more—all designed to bring people together in a welcoming and supportive environment. Veterans Park, 201 Huntersville-Concord Rd., Huntersville.
