Stocks for Tots

6:30-8:30 pm |Dec. 6.  Join the stars of auto racing at the 25th annual Stocks for Tots. This fun and fundraising event is your chance to mingle with motorsport greats, get autographs, and make a difference in the lives of children. Creative Clay/ Pottery Senior Workshop

10:30am- noon | Dec. 6. Clayworks will lead participants in a hands-on clay workshop. Space is limited, so reserve your spot. Projects will be taken to Clayworks to be fired and glazed before being returned for pickup. Please allow 3 weeks for this process. David B. The Menorah Lighting at Birkdale Village

5:30 pm | Dec. 7. Join Chabad of Lake Norman for a Chanukah celebration. Guests are invited to the Parkway to celebrate Chanukah with a traditional Menorah lighting ceremony, children’s crafts, donuts, latkes gelt and more. Birkdale Village Huntersville.

Christmas in Cornelius

Doors open 6 pm; 7 pm  show | Dec. 8. Featuring the LKN Orchestra. Fundraiser for  Aislinn’s Wish Foundation to find a cure for Sanfilippo Syndrome. $10. Cain Center For The Arts, Cornelius.

Downtown Mooresville Holiday

6-8 pm | Dec. 8. Listen to strolling carolers. Visit Christmas Tree Lane and hop on horse-drawn wagon rides. Sweet holiday treats and hot chocolate keep patrons warm along Broad and Main streets. Downtown Mooresville.

Flashlight Candy Cane Dash

Cornelius Library Puzzle Swap

2-3 pm | Dec 9. Have you completed the same puzzles more than once? Ready for some new ones? Bring your gently used puzzles and leave with new-to-you puzzles. Puzzles must be 100+ pieces without any missing pieces. Children’s puzzles must be swapped for children’s puzzles. Cornelius Library, Catawba Avenue.

A Classic Christmas in Downtown Mooresville

5-9 pm | Dec. 9. Santa visits, wagon rides, carolers, ice skating, awesome shopping and dining, hot cocoa and treats, two life-sized snow globes, WinterLights Alive, live musical performancers and Christmas vendor village and more. Main & Broad streets, downtown Mooresville.

Huntersville Half Marathon & Holiday 5k

7 pm Dec. 8 and 8 am Dec. 9. The Huntersville Holiday 5k will start Friday at 7 pm, while the Huntersville Half Marathon & 10k will begin on Saturday at 8 am in Birkdale Village. All runners will receive a medal upon finishing, and Fleet Feet Sports will present cash prizes to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in both races. The Huntersville Half Marathon & 5k is also working in partnership with Speed for Need, a non-profit focused on empowering community members affected by disability or disease through participation in fitness events. A portion of the proceeds from the event will go toward supporting Speed for Need in their efforts.

Sunday, Dec. 10

House and Store Guided Tour & Holiday Crafts

1:15 pm and 3 pm | Dec. 10. Reserve a spot for this seasonal treat, holiday crafts and guided tour at the Hugh Torance House and Store, 8231 Gilead Rd., Huntersville. There is no fee but donations are most welcome.

Agnus Dei (Michael W. Smith cantata)

 5 pm | Dec. 10. The performance features vocalists and musicians from Community in Christ Lutheran Church in Cornelius, Huntersville Methodist Church, and First Baptist Church of Huntersville.  It is free and open to the public. Downtown Holiday Light Spectacular

5:30 pm | Nov. 27-Dec. 31. Orchestrated light show set to music on the lawn at Town Hall, 413 N. Main St., Mooresville.
