Thursday, May 9

LangTree Live

6:30 – 9 pm | May 9. The Hwy, a high-energy Americana/Indie Rock Band. No outside coolers. LangTree Lake Norman, 401 Langtree Rd., Mooresville.

Friday, May 10

Dustbowl Revival

7 pm doors, 8 pm show | May 10. Dustbowl Revival has always been about pushing the boundaries of what American roots music can be. Tickets $25-45. Cain Center for the Arts, Cornelius.

Second Friday Street Festival 

6-10 pm | May 10. Live concert, food trucks, craft brews, artisans and vendors, kids zone, games. Oak Street Mill, Cornelius.

Live Under The Oaks

6-8 pm | May 10. Dukes and Smith Band. Unwind with live musical performance. No coolers are allowed on property. A bar will be onsite in the designated area provided by Red Rocks for beverage needs. Bring lawn chairs and blankets to sit on. Seating space may be limited. The Plaza, Birkdale Village, Huntersville.

HEARTS May 1775 – Part One

2-5 pm | May 11. What was May of 1775 really like?  Join David Fleming and Scott Syfert to hear their insights and enjoy art, music, and dance at Cedar Grove for Part One of our exploration of May 1775, the year of the Meck Dec. Cedar Grove, 8229 Gilead Rd., Huntersville.

Historic Tour of the Store

1-2:15 pm and 3-4 pm | May 12. Step back in time to 1779 and explore the Hugh Torance House and Store and grounds.  The historic Hugh Torance House and Store is the oldest-standing store in NC and one of Mecklenburg County’s few surviving 18th-century structures. The site is adjacent to Cedar Grove, the National Register brick 1831 Greek Revival home of James Torrance, son of Hugh and Isabella Torance. This is a free tour but donations are most welcome. Hugh Torance House and Store, 8231 Gilead Rd., Huntersville.
