Celebrate Independence Day in Davidson
Residents are invited to celebrate our nation’s independence with a homespun, small-town stroll and a Concert on the Green. The parade will include a color guard, fire engine, and lots of patriotic residents.
To walk in the stroll, residents are asked to line up in front of the 251 South St. building at 5:15 pm. Police will be closing off South Street (starting at Cathey Street) between 5:10 and 5:35 pm so participants can line up in the road and on the sidewalks. Festivities will begin at 5:30 pm. All participants are encouraged to march in the parade dressed in Independence Day attire and to decorate their wagons, bicycles, tricycles, and pets in red, white, and blue. A color guard comprised of members of the police and fire departments will lead the parade up South Street onto Main Street and the town green.

July 4: Celebrate 4th of July at Birkdale Village
July 4
• At 10 am, kids are invited to deck their bikes out with stars and stripes decor provided by Birkdale Village to get ready for the big parade.
• At 11 am, the Huntersville Police Department will lead the children in a Bike Parade. Riders will weave their way through the property, ending around 11:30 am. After the parade, guests are invited to participate in the annual wet down with the Huntersville Fire Department.
• From 11:45 am to 1 pm, The Grove will have roaming entertainment, from face painters and balloon twisters to stilt walkers and magicians, live tunes mixed by a DJ and a photo booth.
