Traditional Series: The Burnett Sisters Band
7:30 pm | Feb. 1. The Burnett Sisters learned their craft through the Junior Appalachian Musician program, taught in small communities. Reaching adulthood, they formed their own family band that has its essential roots in Old-time music, but that borrows heavily from bluegrass and country music. Tickets: $4.64 – $20.40. Free yoga and coffee at Rescue Ranch
8 am | Feb. 1. Start with a free gentle yoga and stretch class led by Kim Shaffer of Tejas Yoga Lab of Cornelius. Then enjoy free coffee at 9 am while meeting some indoor animal ambassadors which include rabbits, guinea pig, rats, birds, lizards, snakes and more. Director’s Choice exhibit Opening Reception
6:30-8:30 pm | Feb. 2. Special exhibit showcasing local artists who believe in the Cain Center for the Arts mission and commitment to the community. Half of proceeds from art sold will support the continuation and expansion of Cain Center Community Impact Programs and the other 50% goes directly to exhibiting artists in the local visual arts community. Jocelyn Hagen: The Notebooks of Leonardo da Vinci
7:30 pm | Feb. 3. The Charlotte Master Chorale Chamber Singers present Art and Science, a meeting at the intersection of creativity and design anchored by the North Carolina premiere of Jocelyn Hagen’s multimedia symphony,The Notebooks of Leonardo da Vinci, which utilizes the latest in video syncing technology to bring Leonardo’s words and drawings to life.

For the Year of the Bear, the program starts with making bear ears to help listen to a ranger read “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?” by Bill Martin,Jr. This program is perfect for young children.
