Weekend weather: Rain, then snow Friday night

Jan. 28. Get our your snow shovels, scrapers and ice melt. Friday starts the weekend with evening rain converting to snow around 11 pm. It will be cold, with a low near 25, and winds could hit 20 mph. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Beware of icy, slippery roads Saturday. Take heart, it warms up Thursday.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high only near 36. Wind around 14 mph, with gusts as high as 23. It will be a cold and windy day.

Saturday Night: Clear, low around 18.

Sunday: Sunny, high 41-43.

Sunday Night: Clear, low around 26.

Monday: Sunny, high near 51.

Monday Night: Clear, low around 28.
