Weekend agenda Feb. 18-20: Art, music and farmers market

Feb. 18: Davidson College Symphony Orchestra: Winter Concert

Here’s a look at what’s coming up this weekend:

Friday, Feb. 18

Home Grown reception

6:30-8:30 pm. An opportunity to meet the artists and enjoy an evening of artist talks with light refreshments provided. Cain Center for the Arts, 19725 Oak St., Suite 1.

Feb. 18: Home Grown reception at Cain Center for the Arts

Pearce Hyatt ’22 Exhibition Presentation and Reception

4-6 pm. Opening reception with Pearce Hyatt ’22 followed by artist’s talk presented in-person and via Zoom. To attend by Zoom please RSVP. A reception will follow the presentation.

Davidson College Symphony Orchestra: Winter Concert 

7:30- 9 pm. J. Estes Millner Professor of Music William D. Lawing and Artist Associate Cynthia Lawing perform Shostakovich’s Concerto No.1 for Piano, Trumpet, and Strings. Admission is free, but tickets are required. For tickets, please contact the Union Box Office at 704-894-2135. Online ticket sales are subject to an Etix convenience fee. Feb. 19: Davidson Farmers Market

Saturday, Feb.  19

Davidsons Farmers Market 

9 am – noon. Winter Market.

Cardio Funk 

9-10 am. Saturdays. This high-energy class takes place at Bailey Road Recreation Center. $5/class or $40 for a 10-class pass. pay at the door.

Sunday, Feb. 20

Open Gym Senior Pickleball 

1-3 pm Sundays at JV Washam Recreation Center.

Visit the exhibit during Cornelius Arts Center gallery regular business hours, 10 am to 4pm Monday to Friday. Admission is free.
