Friday, April 1

April 1: Billy Jones and the Pocket perform at Lost Worlds Brewing

Live music

6 pm live music with Billy Jones and the Pocket; 4 pm  at Tin Kitchen food truck. Lost Worlds Brewing, Lost Worlds Brewing, 19700-D One Norman Blvd., Cornelius.

Reflecting: Metacognitive Teaching for Student Success

Avery Fleeman ’22 Exhibition Presentation and Reception

4:30- 6pm. Opening reception with Avery Fleeman ’22. Artist’s talk will be presented in-person and via Zoom. Saturday, April 2

Duck & Bunny Park Hops 

11 am – 3 pm at Huntingdon Green. Do a craft and grab a photo. Hosted by the Huntersville Parks & Recreation.

Time to Shine 

11 am – 5 pm. Pop up market with  small shops, photo stations, food trucks, music and more. Beaver Dam Historic House, 19600 Davidson-Concord Road.

Festival of Services 

11 am-3 pm.  The Ada Jenkins Center 2022 Festival of Services, featuring arts and crafts, ESL class information, legal services information, free hot dogs and hamburgers. Lakehaven Community Church, 11925 Lakehaven Dr., Huntersville.

April 2: New South Trail Marathon

New South Trail Marathon 

Full and half marathon options are available on the Whitewater Center’s trail system.

Karaoke Party

10 pm. Hosted by DJ Makayla. Hangar33LKN, 807 Williamson Rd, Mooresville.

Love Lake Norman 5th anniversary celebration

Come for the celebration service at 10:30, stay for the block party afterward. Everyone is invited. Food, Easter egg hunt and more. Oak Street Mill parking lot, 19725 Oak Street, Cornelius. 

April 3: Benjamin Ray Haden

Concert 

2-3:30 pm. Join trumpeter Benjamin Ray Haden as he presents his senior recital, a contemporary classical performance featuring works by John Williams, The Beatles, Joe Hisaishi, Ólafur Arnalds, Ludovico Einaudi, and more. Science and art festival 

1-5 pm. STEAMfest will have over 50 hands-on activities in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics created by Woodlawn, local colleges, museums, libraries, clubs and businesses. Free admission, food trucks, door prizes. Register for express entry and an extra entry in door prize drawings. Woodlawn School, 135 Woodlawn School Loop, Mooresville.

Spring Fling Outdoor Market

2-7 pm. Do a little local shopping at this monthly pop-up shop. Eleven Lakes Brewing. 10228 Bailey Road,  Suite 201, Cornelius.

Advance Tickets: Adult, $20; senior (65+), $18; student (under 21), $15. Ages 12 and older. Armour Street Theatre, 307 Armour St., Davidson.
