Sept. 8. Yesterday, as I drove my 13-year-old daughter and her friend to their soccer game, I quoted the SNL skit with Maya Rudolph and Amy Poehler. “Hey girls it’s almost sweatah weathah. Sweatah weathah. Sweatah weathah!” Neither laughed or had any idea what I was talking about.

No tropical systems in the Atlantic and lows in the 50s this week. If you’re allergic to ragweed it’s time to break out the Claritin.
