Sept. 2. Second summer is upon us. After more than a week of comfortable temperatures and low humidity the mercury rises again this week with high temps back into the mid-to-upper 80s later in the week. The humidity returns as well but shouldn’t be anything like the sweltering summer that’s coming to a close.

Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 80. Northeast wind 3 to 5 mph. Tonight partly cloudy, with a low around 59. Calm wind.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 81. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph in the afternoon. Wednesday night partly cloudy, with a low around 63.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 85 and a low around 64.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 86. Friday night mostly clear, with a low around 63.

Weekend: Sunny and highs in the mid 80s and lows in the 60s.
