Watermark developer plans commercial project nearby

June 24. A two-story, 13,937 square foot office building is planned near the Watermark condominiums and behind Bank OZK on West Catawba. The town’s Architecture Review Board is expected to review  design and elevations at their Friday June 26 meeting, which begins at noon in Town Hall. It will be a virtual meeting accessible via Zoom.

The developer of the Watermark office building is Jamie Rolewicz, who also built the successful Watermark condominium project where some of the residences sell for in excess of $1 million.

Planning Director Aaron Tucker said the project will not require rezoning because the use conforms “by right” under the village center zoning district rules.
