Nov. 13. Visit Lake Norman recently received an award from the North Carolina Travel Industry Association.
The organization, which promotes tourism in the Lake Norman area, won a Gold Marketing Achievement Award in the Community Stakeholders category for its monthly newsletter highlighting seasonal blogs, partner spotlights and upcoming events.
“We’re thrilled to receive this award; it really reflects our dedication to keeping the Lake Norman community informed and inspired,” said Sally Ashworth, CEO of Visit Lake Norman. “Through our newsletter, we get to share the stories that matter and connect people to everything that makes this area so special.”
The annual awards program invites entries from all 100 North Carolina counties and recognizes excellence in travel and tourism marketing. The selection committee includes tourism experts from Virginia and the Carolinas.
Visit Lake Norman has earned 23 destination marketing awards in the past 10 years and 61 awards overall.
