Vincent Anthony DiOrio, 86, of Charlotte died February 28, 2015 at the Levine and Dickson Hospice House. He was born on July 3, 1928 in Bronx, NY to the late John and Amelia DiOrio.  He served in the US Navy and worked as a restaurateur. He was active in the Lions Club in both St. Augustine, FL and New Rochelle, NY.

Survivors include his wife Jo Ann DiOrio; daughter, Susan DiOrio of Newburgh, NY; step-son, Anthony Alves of Charlotte; step-daughter, Gina Apicella of Mamaroneck, NY; siblings, Stella King and Alan DiOrio; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. His son John preceded him in death.

Memorials may be made to the Lions Club International Foundation, 300 W. 22^nd St. Oak Brook, IL 60523-8842.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday, March 5 at James Funeral Home, 10520 Arahova Dr. Huntersville. The funeral mass will be held at 10 AM Friday at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.
