United Way Days of Caring Sept. 13-16

Sept. 11. United Way of the Central Carolinas will hold their annual “Days of Caring” Sept. 13-16, in an effort to make a major impact on local communities through volunteerism. Over 100 projects with some 600 volunteer opportunities will be available during the four-day period across the Lake Norman area. All of the projects are focused on health, education, and financial stability.

Projects in the Cornelius area seeking volunteer support during the period include the Cornelius Community Garden Fall Spruce Up Program, Our Towns Habitat for Humanity House Build Program, Beds for Kids and Clean Furniture/Mattresses for Children & Families in Need, and the various projects of the Neighborhood Care Center.

All registered volunteers will receive an invitation to a catered breakfast to celebrate their accomplishments on Saturday Sept. 16 at 8am at The Cove Church in Mooresville. More info: 704-664-2284.
