The Ada Jenkins Center will offer free basic tax return preparation to qualified individuals who may need assistance in preparing their own tax returns, thanks to a partnership with the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.
Starts Feb. 13
It’s open to people and families making $57,000 or less; persons with disabilities; and limited English-speaking taxpayers. Help starts Feb. 13 with three options for free tax filing by certified IRS-trained volunteers: In person, virtual, and drop-off.
In-person appointments are by appointment only and take place 9 am to 2 pm at the Ada Jenkins Center at 212 Gamble St. in Davidson and at the Dellwood Center at 508 Dellwood Drive, in Huntersville.
Virtual appointments can be scheduled by calling 704-896-0471, ext. 116 or contacting vita@adajenkins.org.
