Staff to start moving into the Davidson Town Hall and Community Center

Jan. 9. Town staff will start to move into the new Davidson Town Hall and Community Center, 251 South St., today.

The move should continue to Jan. 20. Once everyone is moved in and settled, the town will have a grand opening/ribbon cutting and offer tours to the public.

The Town Hall and Community Center was originally used for education in different capacities from 1893-2018.

In 2018, the Town of Davidson purchased the property from Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System to relocate town hall.

The Town of Davidson voters approved a bond referendum in the November 2019 election to renovate the historic building structure for the new Davidson Town Hall and Community Center.

The cost of the Town Hall and Community Center and Public Safety Building is $14,000.
