Sandra J. Stuart of Huntersville passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side on Monday October 26, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Marlborough, Massachusetts in 1938, she was the daughter of Myrtle Gisriel and Stanford Holder. She was a graduate of Northboro High School. Sandra married the love of her life, Craig, in 1958. They lived in Sterling, Massachusetts where they raised their three boys, Mark, John, and Douglas.
She is survived by her devoted and loving husband Craig Stuart; her sons Mark, John and his wife Julie Stuart, Doug and his wife Heather Stuart; her treasured grandchildren Taryn, Holly, Tanner and Hope Stuart; her sisters Shelia Wayne and Cindy O’Neill; Nieces, nephews and many cherished friends. She was predeceased by her mother Myrtle Gisriel, Father Stanford Holder and daughter-in-law Debra Stuart.
Sandra drove a school bus for several years. She then was an office manager for 35 years, transferring to work and live in NC in 1995, where she later retired. She was an avid reader and loved to travel and spend time with her family. Together, she and Craig enjoyed many exciting adventures in NC and around the world. Her most precious travel memories are the summers she spent with her family on Hilton Head Island.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Sandra’s life on Saturday, October 31st, 2015 at the Raymer-Kepner FuneralHome in Huntersville, North Carolina; visitation will begin at10am followed by a service at 11am.
