This year is the last of a five-year paving plan in Davidson that identified streets in need of resurfacing. Each year was broken down by geographic area for cost- effectiveness.
The River Run neighborhood project was bid out on June 23and Blythe Construction was the low bidder at $857,627.14. Because the bids came in under the projected budget, the town asked Blythe to add additional street segments that adds $245,000 for a total of $1,102,000.
The Davidson Town Board approved the 2020 Resurfacing Contract and requested staff work on a strategy for future patchwork repairs in between paving years.
