Primary voting under way at four locations in Cornelius

Bill Pittman, Marsha Herd outside Precinct 242/Jetton this morning

March 5. Super Tuesday—the biggest day nationwide for primary elections and caucuses before Election Day in November—is under way in 15 states, including North Carolina. Polls are open until 7:30 pm at four locations in Cornelius:

—Community in Christ Lutheran Church, 7621 Norman Island Drive

—Jetton Park, 19000 Jetton Road

—Bethel Presbyterian Church, 19920 Bethel Church Road

—Cornelius Town Hall, 21445 Catawba Ave.

We caught the picture this morning Bill Pittman, Tim Moore’s campaign manager, and Marsha Herd, who is supporting Lisa Jewell, in front of Precinct 242/Waterfront Hall at Jetton Park.

—Jewell is running in the Democratic primary for NC House District 98, the seat currently held by John Bradford

—Moore is running for the GOP nod in US Congress District 14.

Early Voting

In Early Voting, 52,000 people voted county-wide; 2,972 at Cornelius Town Hall, 1,325 at Davidson Town Hall and 2,789 at the North County Library in Huntersville.
