Police looking for witnesses in bike crash Wednesday

 

The Cornelius Police Department is asking the public for help in the investigation of a serious bike accident involving a motor vehicle this past Wednesday, Aug. 22. It happened around 11:21 am on West Catawba near Mariner Cove Drive, not far from Sam Furr Road. “We are currently in search of those that may have been a witness to the crash or that has any information regarding the crash,” CPD said in an official statement. The report is not complete, hence the lack of details, including the name of the cyclist and his or her condition. Police said the driver of the motor vehicle remained on the scene; they are looking for independent witnesses. If you have information, please call the Police Department at 704-892-1363 or 704-892-7773 and ask to speak with Sgt.
