Plan some scary, or not; Halloween fun

Oct. 18. Boo! Halloween events are brewing in Lake Norman. Best to plan now as some events have space limits and require advance registration or tickets. Here’s a listing to help plan your fun.

Oct. 24

Halloween in Huntersville 

4 – 7 pm with free entertainment including balloon twisters, airbrush tattoos, games, local craft vendors. A costume contest starts at 5:30 pm. Award Categories: Cutest Baby (age 1 and younger), Best Costume (ages 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-13, 14-17),  Best Homemade Costume, Best Adult Costume (ages 18+) and Best Family Costume. Food trucks will be onsite with food & beverage available for purchase. Huntersville Athletic Park,  11720 Verhoeff Dr.

Oct. 29

Halloween at Langtree 

5-9 pm. Trick-or-treating starts at 5 pm; this is free and open to the public. At 7 pm, the  drive-in movie Casper the Friendly Ghost begins; $5 per car, pay on arrival. LangTree Lake Norman, 401 Langtree Rd., Mooresville.

Live Under the Oaks concert

6-8 pm. A special performance by Flashback The Party Band for the last Live Under The Oaks of the season. Come ready to party and feel free to dress up in your Halloween costume. The Grove across from Starbucks at Birkdale Village, Huntersville.

Oct. 30

Halloween Treat Trail

Dress your kids in their costumes and enjoy trick-or-treat for pre-packaged, nut-free candy from local businesses along the festive trail, games and activities, and a spooktacular photo area on Oct. 30 at Bailey Road Park. Two sessions are available: 5:30-6:30 p.m. or 6:30-7:30 p.m. This event is free but advance registration is required.  Recommended for kids 12 and younger. Don’t forget your camera.

Trick or Treating 

10 am to noon. A SPOOK-tacular Halloween celebration for the little goblins Come dressed in your costumes and trick or treat at Birkdale Village’s participating retailers and restaurants. Check in with us in the Grove starting at 10 AM to grab special goodies and a map of participating restaurants and retailers. Birkdale Village, Huntersville.

Canceled

The 2021  Halloween March in Davidson  has been canceled because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
