Patricia Doster Hunter, 70, of Terrell, NC, formerly of Huntsville, AL passed away peacefully on December 26, 2015 at the Levine and Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville. Pat enjoyed spending time with friends and family most of all. She loved the lake, the beach and finding the most unusual bargain at the flea market and antique stores. 

 

Six years ago, a very special family gave the greatest gift possible. This family selflessly donated their loved ones’ organs and the lungs went to Pat. This family gave Pat’s family and friends the gift of 6 more years. She urges everyone to consider organ donation.

 

She was preceded in death by her soul mate, best friend, and husband Alan Hunter, parents, Nell and Hiram Doster; sister, Sandra Anderson, niece Susan McDonald and bonus step-daughter, Becky Hunter.  

 

Survivors include her daughter, Linda McAnespie and husband Chris of Huntersville; step-son, David Hunter and wife Lisa; grandchildren, Chelsie Mulholland (Brendon) and Zac Hunter, all of Mooresville; nephew, Bob Anderson and great nieces Niki and Erica, all of Alabama.

 

The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Wednesday December 30 at James Funeral Home, 10520 Arahova Dr. Huntersville. Per her request, there will be no service. There will also be a celebration of life gathering on February 21, 2016 at Pat’s home from 4-6 PM.
