The Lake Norman Wildlife Conservationists and the Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Department will hold “Park in the Dark” with the Cornelius PARC Dept. at Robbins Park Aug. 10. The family event will focus on the nightlife surrounding the Lake Norman area, especially the diverse moth population. Activities that Friday night will include a nature walk listening to and identifying night sounds, as well as a moth observation station. Park in the Dark is free to attend but pre-registration is encouraged. Participants under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
