Operation Donation aids 3 agencies that work with CPD

From Dec. 1 through Dec. 18, the Cornelius Police Department will collect items for Ada Jenkins, Pat’s Place and Safe Alliance. It’s called Operation Donation. Cornelius Police work closely with each of these agencies to offer assistance to victims. Recommended items include mini bottles of juice and water, individual snack packs or candy treats, books (English or Spanish), board games, playing cards, arts & crafts items, coloring books, journals, dolls, toy cars and trucks, clothes for women and children (new with tags), hats, gloves, socks and underwear, travel size toiletries, and gift cards for gas and grocery stores. Donations can be dropped off Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm in the lobby of the Cornelius Police Department, or Starbucks Coffee at 19722 One Norman Drive. There will also be a special collection day on Saturday, Dec. 12 from 9 am to 11 am in the Starbucks parking lot. Info: Betsy Shores at 704-892-1363.
