Officer Macon is Police Employee of the Quarter

July 28. Cornelius Police Officer John Macon has been named Employee of the Quarter for his attention to detail and training in crime scene processing. On May 3,  the Cornelius Police Department was experiencing an increase in vehicle break-ins. Macon processed a vehicle which had been broken into and was able to lift several fingerprints. These fingerprints were later identified and a known suspect was charged and arrested. His efforts were crucial to the investigation and led to the clearance of multiple open cases.
