Novant Health seeks entertainers, food trucks for Welcome Back Fest

June 9. Novant Health is hosting  Welcome Back Fest street festivals to mark the progress made in the fight against COVID-19.

The three free community events, with Charlotte’s on July 24, aim to support diverse local businesses, honor healthcare heroes and celebrate the milestones reached with the help of community members.

After so long apart, Novant Health is on a mission to reunite and reinvigorate the communities it serves. Festivals will provide a taste of the diversity each city has to offer — live music, food from local restaurants, entertainment and more – as well as the opportunity to get vaccinated if you have not already done so.

Novant Health is seeking local entertainers and food truck vendors “who represent the unique diversity of the communities it serves to participate in the Welcome Back Fest street festivals in Charlotte, Wilmington and Winston-Salem this summer,” according to an email.

Entertainers of all backgrounds are invited to apply. All performances must be musical, rhythmic or in another closely associated format. The selected entertainers will be compensated as part of their contract.

Food truck vendors are invited to apply. Novant Health is looking for food trucks that represent different backgrounds and tastes and all are welcome to apply.

Those who are selected to participate will be contacted with a contract and will also be paid a flat fee of $1,000 at the conclusion of the event.

The festivals in Winston-Salem and Wilmington will be held during August.

Venue locations are pending on all three festivals.
