Dec. 31.  High Touch High Tech of Charlotte will visit the North Meck Senior Center this winter for three sessions of scientific excitement.  The programs will include make-and-take experiments, educational publications, and great conversation.

The workshops will be held 10:30-11:30 a.m. Wednesdays.  Classes are $5 per person per session.  Participants may register for as many sessions as they wish.  A minimum of five participants is required for each class.

Schedule of Events:

• Jan. 20: Crazy Chemistry Day.  Learn all about chemical reactions.  Make snow indoors, create Space Mudd, and erupt volcanoes!

• Feb. 24: Gold Rush Day.  Step back in time to the days of the prospectors as we search for minerals and crystals.  Become a real geologist as we classify our findings.  Take home an assortment of real beauties, such as tiger’s eye and emeralds.

• March 16: Get Buggy Day.  Examine live and dead specimens, including live Madagascar hissing cockroaches.  Taste honey produced by different bees using different sources of nectar.
