July 12. With four more days to file, the three mayoral candidates in North Meck are running unopposed. Commissioner Melinda Bales is the only person to file to run for mayor of Huntersville; likewise, incumbents Woody Washam in Cornelius and Rusty Knox in Davidson are unopposed in their bids for re-election.
