Jan. 6 – Registration is now open for the next Newsmakers Breakfast that will be held the morning of Thursday, Jan. 29 at The Peninsula Club.

Titled Town Board Talks: Meet your elected officials, the event will feature an audience-led Q&A with all six elected officials from the Town of Cornelius, including Mayor Denis Bilodeau and Board Commissioners Michael Osborne (mayor pro tem), Todd Sansbury, Robert Carney, Susan Johnson and Colin Furcht.

The Newsmakers Breakfast regularly brings together members of the Cornelius community to hear speakers discussing a range of topics. This year will feature six events with tentative themes including the downtown master plan, road construction, the bike/ped master plan, nonprofits and small business ownership.

Event details

Doors open at 7:15 a.m. for networking. The buffet-style breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m.

The Q&A session starts at 8 a.m. and concludes promptly at 9. Attendees are encouraged to ask questions throughout the discussion.

The cost to attend is $19, which includes a full country breakfast at The Peninsula Club.

Attire is business casual.
