RSVP for Newsmakers Breakfast Thursday

Jeffcoat, Jennings, Morrill

April 18. The challenges and benefits of historic preservation as well as new approaches to preservation will be the topic of a Newsmakers Breakfast at The Peninsula Club this Thursday.

Speakers include Mecklenburg County forensic historian Michael Jeffcoat, historic preservation advocate Abigail Jennings and historian Dan Morrill.

Jennings and her husband have restored the former Mt. Zion Methodist Church parsonage circa 1897 and are in the process of restoring the Cedar Grove mansion on Gilead Road.

NC Rep. John Bradford will provide a legislative update in advance of the short session which begins next month.

Details

Newsmakers Breakfasts are open-forum Q&As with people who make the news. The price to attend, $14, includes a full Peninsula breakfast (tip included).

Doors open at 7:15 a.m. for networking. The buffet-style breakfast gets under way at 7:30 a.m.

The Q&A begins at 8 a.m. and concludes at 9 sharp.
