New on the big screen: Lights, Camera, Birkdale

Feb. 15. Family friendly movies will take over Birkdale Village’s jumbo screen during the second Saturday of every month, April through October.

Movie night at The Plaza is free.

Seating is first come, first serve. Attendees are encouraged to bring additional blankets and chairs.

All movies start at 7:30 pm Saturdays, except in October.

There’s no outside food or beverage and no coolers. Takeout from onsite restaurants is encouraged.

Schedule

April 8. Start baseball season with a viewing of “The Sandlot.”

May 13. Participate in the world’s greatest singing competition with a viewing of “Sing.”

June 10. Take a trip underwater with a viewing of “Finding Nemo.”

July 8. Celebrate Christmas in July with a viewing of “The Grinch” (2018).

Aug. 12. Bid summer farewell with a viewing of “The Parent Trap” (Lindsay Lohan, not Hayley Mills).

Sept. 9. Hop along on an adventure through the bayous with a viewing of “The Princess and The Frog.”

Oct. 14 at 7 pm. Get in the Halloween spirit with a viewing of “Hocus Pocus 1.”
