Ilios Crafted Greek will open its fifth restaurant today in Davidson’s Sadler Square shopping center.

The fast-casual Greek restaurant is located at 201 Griffith St. The first 100 customers on opening day will receive a complimentary bottle of the restaurant’s proprietary extra virgin olive oil imported from Greece. The retail value is $27.

The new restaurant seats about 50 people indoors and 24 on an outdoor patio. It will offer dine-in service, takeout and catering.

The Davidson location marks the expansion of the Charlotte-area brand’s focus on traditional Mediterranean ingredients. The restaurant recently switched to using olive oil throughout its recipes and fryers, replacing blended and vegetable oils previously used in some applications.

According to the company, the move makes Ilios Crafted Greek one of the few U.S. restaurant chains to use olive oil for frying. The restaurant has also introduced artisan pita bread imported from Greece. The pita is made with five ingredients and contains no preservatives.

“Davidson is a community that values quality, craftsmanship and local businesses, which aligns perfectly with what we serve at Ilios Crafted Greek,” co-owner Stratos Lambos said in a statement. “As we continue to grow, we’re also investing in the ingredients that define our food.”

Founded in North Carolina, Ilios Crafted Greek serves Greek-inspired pita sandwiches, salads, plates, family meals and children’s meals. The company is owned by Xenia Hospitality Group and now operates five locations in the Charlotte metropolitan area.

The Davidson restaurant will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
