NC Dems will hold virtual convention

May 13. The NC Democratic Party will hold its state convention virtually on June 6. Amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the NCDP has adjusted forums and meetings to digital platforms around social distancing. District conventions will be held virtually on May 13.

“While we won’t be gathering in person for this year’s state convention, moving to a digital platform gives us a chance to rethink our traditional format for this event and find innovative ways to energize our members,” said NCDP Executive Director Meredith Cuomo.

The State Convention will consist of sessions on party business, including the election of delegates to the Democratic National Convention. The DNC is expected to take place Aug. 17-20 in Milwaukee, Wisc.
