N. Meck Woman’s Club grants exceed $80,000

May 19. The North Mecklenburg Woman’s Club has awarded $83,000 in funding this year to various local non-profits including Ada Jenkins Center, Angels & Sparrows, Beds for Kids, Bridge of Hearts, Caterpillar Ministries, Hope House and Shining Hope Farms.

The North Mecklenburg Woman’s Club holds regular monthly meetings on the first Tuesday of each month from September to May. With over 200 members from a variety of backgrounds, the mission of the club is to help women, children and families through volunteering, fundraising and social support.

The 110-year-old club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Last year members volunteered over 3400 hours at local charities and schools. More info: www.nmwclub.org.
