Maxine Shu McDaniel, 76, of Huntersville died March 1 at the Levine and Dickson Hospice House. She was born August 29, 1938 in Charlotte, NC to the late Roberta Starnes Shu and Harry Clinton Shu. She was a 1955 graduate of Central High School. Her kind and loving spirit was an inspiration to all that knew her.

Survivors include her son Kevin McDaniel of Gastonia; daughter Kelly Cooper and husband Gary of Cornelius; granddaughters, Danielle Cooper and Alyssa Moore and grandsons Mitchell and Matthew McDaniel; great-grandaughter, Mackenzie Cooper as well as her loving dog, “Honey”.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Brenda Caponis.

A private memorial service will be held by the immediate family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Levine & Dickson Hospice House, 11900 Vanstory Dr. Huntersville, NC 28078.
