Mark Stephen Ellington, 65, of Huntersville, passed way March 22, 2016. He was born in Cabarrus County February 4, 1951 to late Floyd P. Ellington and (surviving) Hilda P. Ellington. Mark attended UNC Chapel Hill for a couple of years and really enjoyed playing guitar, wind surfing and running for exercise.

Along with his mother, Mark is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; three sisters, Pat King (Steve), Paula Ellington (Jim) and Claire Ellington; a niece, Erin; and a nephew Colin.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held March 26, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the chapel at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM prior to the service.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association at Heart.org, in memory of Mark.
